The Honorable John H. Glenn is haled by residents of Ohio not just for his courage to explore space as an Astronaut or his diplomacy to be seated in Congress as a distinguish Senator. He is beloved for his heroic efforts to disclose 40 plus years of secrecy and cover up of one of the most serious environmental health crisis in the history of Ohio, the land called Beautiful by the Senaca Indians. It is unthinkable that Ohio was one of the states where, POST WWII, "hundreds of billions of tons of uranium and radioactive chemicals were dumped. Schools and educators across the state now grapple for health physics interventions to make indoor air and radiation levels ( both ionizing and non-ionizing safe ). The EPA RADON MAP of Ohio reveals almost 75% of the state has the highest toxic levels of RADON gas from decaying uranium.
